All praise is for Allah, the Lord of the Universe. This website is designed to assist Muslims living in the United States of America to have a basic knowledge about the Hajj Process. Over the years, Muslims relied on advice from people who know very little about how the process works and sometimes information can be very misleading. With this in mind, a website explaining the details will help all the Muslims living in the USA to be more informed.

The first step is to click on the first tab on the top left hand corner of this page. This tab “Starting the Process” will help to clarify some basic issues for those who are going to Hajj for the 1st time. The other information available on this website will help in making the Hajj easier, inshallah.

Muslims travelling from the United States of America will not be treated differently from the Muslims coming for other countries, so everyone must prepare himself/herself mentally for a journey beyond anyone’s imagination. Upon arrival, you will observe many things that will very different and sometimes intolerable. Be patient and co-operate with the system. It may not be a system that you are accustomed to here in the USA but it is a system you will have to abide with in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Hajj is one of the aspects of worship that is designed to develop God consciousness and create a sense of spiritual motivation only for the pleasure of Allah.

This is an intense journey which relies on the individual’s patience to encounter strange circumstances. This patience must be exhibited from the time of arrival until departure otherwise the Hajj will be very difficult and stressful.

Hearing about the Hajj is one thing and “experiencing it” is another thing. Patience is the “key” to a successful Hajj.

We pray that through this effort, there will be a better understanding of how to cope with the difficulties that lay ahead of the “Journey to Hajj”.
